About nodevstack
nodevstack is an independently run comparison site for the software a small business or solo operator actually pays for every month — no-code and automation tools, VPS hosting, CRMs, and accounting practice-management apps. It exists because most "best tools" content is thin, undated, and quietly optimized for whoever pays the highest commission. We wanted the opposite.
What we do differently
Prices are a calculation, not an estimate.
Live calculators run on each vendor's real tiered pricing — enter your usage, team size, or whole stack and see your actual number, not a rounded "from $X."
Every price carries a date.
We read prices off the vendor's own page and stamp when we last checked. We've caught vendor blogs quoting figures off by 4–5× the real price.
We show what we don't earn from.
Tools we're paid to recommend and tools we're not both carry a plain label. Every comparison ends in a specific verdict, not a 15-row checkmark grid.
How the site is funded
nodevstack is reader-supported through affiliate commissions: when you subscribe to some tools through our links, the vendor pays us, at no extra cost to you. We label exactly where this applies and where it doesn't, and a commission never changes a verdict or a price. The full details are on our Affiliate Disclosure page.
Independent
We're not owned by, or exclusive to, any vendor on this site. We run our own infrastructure — this site and its analytics are self-hosted — which is also why we can honestly recommend a self-hosted or free option when that's the right call, even though we earn nothing from it.
